Tie-in to the bigger campaign
Bloody battle in the shadow of the Aberdare forest. Cannons on both sides. Heidi is nursing a British soldier (Horace Byers) who had a hand amputated, but is in a good mood.
Major Georg Lettow-Vorbeck gets brought into the triage tent and is in a terrible way. Operation ensues. Lots of Medicine and First Aid checks.
Upon returning to the tent after seeing Horace off, Heidi comes back and sees something very big and insectoid grabbing the major. In the next second, the thing takes off with the major in tow. If she doesn’t follow, some soldiers ask her to come to keep the major alive. If she goes by herself, some soldiers will tag along to provide some safety (possibly Horace).
Losing track → have to dust up some tracks. In either case, following the figure leads to a strange mountain where it is quiet, too quiet. A black mountain stands in the forest. A trail leads to a hidden cave entrance.
Inside the cave, the soldiers start dropping like flies. Deeper and deeper in the cave, Heidi hears the major call out in pain. As she comes closer, the pained cries start to change in nature. The area around Heidi changes slightly, with sounds of chanting and robed figures all around.
Up upon a throne lies a blond woman, crying out in pain. Her stomach is bloated and bulging strangely. Heidi coming to her aid, sees the woman is in labour, but something is wrong. The woman shifts between despair and contentment. As Heidi’s head swells with the vision, the woman puts a hand on her cheek, saying “Witness” and angles her head to her stomach. A strange alien face can be seen pressing from the inside of the woman’s stomach. Heidi’s heads reels.
