Death of her parents - thoughts

• Pissed off the wrong people in a cult, they were used to summon a shoggoth killing all members of the cult
• Were set upon by a hunting horror, causing the car to roll down a cliff with her parents being snatched out of the car at the last second
• Parents locking her in a room with an approaching cult - screams, carnage. Then after opening the doors, a bloody rest mist forms from the many corpses - the black pharaoh opens his eyes and she blacks out

New horse - her very own. Stablekeep (Morris Prince, “little miss”) takes her riding. Strange movements in the forest path, horses nervous. Something is hunting them. Morris fires a shot at something deep in the forest, which causes her horse to take off - away from the stable keep.

After slowing down, she comes upon an unfamiliar path in the forest, which opens up to wide desert landscape, with a strange black stone pyramid towering high above. The pyramid contains stars inside the stone. Something big, very big is crawling over from the back of the pyramid. The horse rears, almost throwing off.
